James (Jim) Gillespie is a veteran of the Vietnam War and attained an honorable discharge from the US Army. I am a native to Utah and specifically the Salt Lake area. I have an extensive background in Electronics Manufacturing operations and have held several key positions over a 35+ year career in the industry. I attained an AAS degree in Electrical Technology from Utah Technical College (now Salt Lake Community College) in 1976 and, after gaining 3 years of work experience in California and Utah, went on to The University of Utah in Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering. I have been an entrepreneur for most of my life even while holding full time employment. In 1994, I was one of the founders, and CEO, of the small business “Rhino Linings of Utah”, a Truck accessory business offering the world’s first “Spray-in Bed Liner” for pick-up trucks. This business was successfully sold as a Turnkey operation in 2009. One, of many, lessons I learned being an entrepreneur and holding management positions, is that you need to listen, and pay attention to your customer’s needs and desires. Since March 2010 I have been a full time Real estate Agent in the state of Utah. Past life experiences have been immeasurably helpful in this career. I pride myself with close attention to the specific details of executing a transaction and provide the utmost care and consideration to all clients, buying or selling. I study and maintain a constant watch on the residential real estate market to ensure my advice to clients is valid and pertinent. I am realistic with pricing strategy to attain the highest possible offer for a listed home. I have excellent negotiation skills. I will always work for the client and in their best interest. I am proud to be associated with Mansell Real estate for their unwavering ethics, good moral compass, and friendly and caring management.
